Privacy Policy
1. Our Promise
When you trust Indus.Care (New Jove Group, Inc.) with your travel-medical insurance needs, we treat your personal information with care, transparency, and security. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
This Policy applies to information collected via Indus.Care and related pages, forms, and mobile experiences (the “Website”), as well as customer support, surveys/interviews, QR/WhatsApp intake flows, and other services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). It does not cover third-party websites we don’t control.
By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions.

Indus.Care, a technology provider, works with Venbrook Insurance Services (California License No. 0D80832) and third-party insurers and administrators to quote, issue, and service visitor medical plans.
If you are located outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries as described in this Policy.
3. What We Mean by “Personal Information”
In this Policy:
- “Personal information” (or “personal data”) means any information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a specific person, such as name, contact details, policy numbers, or unique identifiers.
- “Sensitive information” may include certain data such as health-related details needed for claims or assistance, where permitted by law.
4. Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways: you provide it to us, we collect it automatically, and we receive it from third parties.
A) Information You Provide
Examples include:
- Profile & contact. Name, email, phone number, postal address, country of residence/citizenship.
- Travel & quote details. Origin/destination, travel dates, number of travelers, date of birth, gender (if required by a Plan), and other details needed to generate quotes.
- Companions. Information about fellow travelers (you confirm you have authority to share it and that you’ve informed them of this Policy).
- Account & authentication. Username, password, and verification tokens.
- Purchase & servicing. Selected plan, policy number, beneficiaries, servicing/assistance details, and information you provide in connection with claims routed via our partners.
- Payment. We rely on third-party payment processors. Card/bank details are handled by them; we receive limited payment metadata (e.g., success/failure, last 4 digits) for records and support.
- Support & communications. Messages, call notes, emails, surveys, language preferences, and communication preferences.
- Testimonials & media. With your consent, quotes, photos, or stylized images for display.
Some information may be health related (for example, when describing a claim). We use that information only to help with servicing and not for targeted advertising.
B) Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, device type, operating system, and browser type.
- pages viewed, links clicked, timestamps, referring/exit pages.
- session metrics and approximate location (e.g., city-level).
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep sessions secure, and understand how users interact with the Website. You can control cookies via your browser; some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.
C) Information From Third Parties
- Insurance carriers, administrators, and assistance providers (e.g., eligibility, policy issuance, claims status, and servicing data).
- Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers (e.g., transaction results, risk signals).
- Analytics and marketing vendors (e.g., aggregated usage data, where applicable).
We use this information only as permitted by law and consistent with this Policy.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- 1. Provide and operate the Services.
- Generate quotes, process applications, issue policies through insurance partners, manage renewals/extensions, and support claims routing.
- 2. Communicate with you.
- Send confirmations, policy and servicing notices, renewal reminders, security alerts, and respond to questions.
- 3. Improve and secure the Website.
- Monitor performance, debug issues, prevent fraud/abuse, and enhance our digital, mobile-centric experience.
- 4. Personalize, lightly.
- Remember your preferences (e.g., language, frequently used data) and streamline repeat actions you ask us to remember.
- 5. Research and product development.
- Conduct voluntary surveys or interviews about user experience, test new features, and analyze anonymized/aggregated trends.
- 6. Legal, regulatory, and compliance.
- Satisfy licensing, insurance, tax, and regulatory obligations; respond to lawful requests; enforce our Terms; and protect our rights and users.
- We do not provide medical advice, and we do not use claim-related health information for behavioral advertising.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as reasonably necessary to provide the Services or as required by law.
We may share information with:
- Insurance carriers, administrators, and assistance providers to underwrite, issue, service, or adjudicate claims for your selected Plan.
- Vendors/processors that help us operate the Services, such as hosting providers, payment processors, analytics vendors, email/SMS platforms, document storage providers, or customer-support tools.
- Affiliates and program entities within the New Jove / Indus.Care ecosystem, to deliver cross-border workflows and support.
- Referring partners (e.g., travel/visa partners, associations) in limited, de-identified or aggregated form, or with your consent.
- Business transfer counterparties (e.g., in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- Legal and safety recipients, such as regulators, law-enforcement authorities, or courts, where required by law or necessary to protect you, us, or others.
- Others with your consent, for example where you authorize a testimonial or referral.
We require vendors and partners who process personal information on our behalf to protect it and use it only for the purposes we specify.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in and secure your session;
- remember certain choices (e.g., language);
- understand how visitors use the Website; and
- measure the performance of our content and campaigns.
If we add advertising or remarketing vendors in the future, we will update this section, adjust our cookie banner as required, and provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms.
Because no industry standard currently exists, we do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, but we honor applicable opt-out rights described below.
8. Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. For example:
- Quote data (not purchased): typically up to 12 months to help you resume and for analytics; then de-identified or deleted.
- Policy and servicing records: generally kept for 5-7 years (or longer if required) after the relationship ends, to comply with insurance, licensing, and tax obligations.
- Claims data: retained per requirements of the insurer/administrator and applicable law.
- Support logs: typically kept for about 2 years, unless needed longer for security, legal, or dispute-related reasons.
9. Security
We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for logging out on shared devices. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us at support(at)indus(dot)care.
10. Children and Minors
Our Services are designed for a general audience and are not directed to young children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent where required by law. If a minor is included on a policy, we collect only the information necessary for quoting and servicing.
If you believe a child’s information has been submitted to us improperly, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11. International Transfers
We operate with teams and partners in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States and India. Your information may be stored or processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those of your home country.
Where legally required (for example, for EEA/UK users), we implement appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information in cross-border transfers.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights over your personal information.
Access and Correction
You can request a copy of your personal information or ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion
You can request deletion of certain information. We may need to retain some data where we have a legal or legitimate business reason (e.g., regulatory requirements, policy and claims records, fraud prevention).
Marketing Preferences
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in our messages or contacting us at support(at)indus(dot)care. We may still send transactional or servicing messages.
Cookie Controls
You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Some Website features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
U.S. State Privacy Rights (e.g., CA/CO/VA and Similar Laws)
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with specific privacy laws, you may have rights to:
- know and access certain information we hold about you;
- request correction or deletion of certain information;
- receive information about categories of information we share and with whom;
- opt out of certain types of “sharing,” “selling,” or targeted advertising (we do not sell personal information as defined by these laws).
To exercise these rights, contact support(at)indus(dot)care. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may authorize an agent to act on your behalf, subject to appropriate verification.
EEA/UK Users (If Applicable)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing may include:
- Contract – to provide quotes, issue policies, and service claims;
- Legal obligation – to comply with insurance, tax, and regulatory duties;
- Legitimate interests – to secure our systems, prevent fraud, improve services, and support users;
- Consent – for certain marketing or testimonials (you can withdraw consent at any time).
You may have additional rights (e.g., data access, portability, objection, restriction, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority).
13. WhatsApp/QR Intake Flows
If you initiate a quote via QR code or a messaging channel such as WhatsApp:
- We collect the details you provide (e.g., name, travel dates) to prefill your quote and send you a secure link to complete the purchase on our Website.
- Messaging platforms have their own privacy policies; avoid sharing sensitive data in open chat, and complete payment only via our secure checkout.
14. Testimonials and Stylized Images
If you agree to provide a testimonial, quote, or image, we will store your consent and use that material as agreed (for example, on our Website or in marketing).
You may withdraw consent for future use at any time by emailing support(at)indus(dot)care. We will stop using your testimonial or image going forward, subject to reasonable technical and archival constraints.
15. Financial and Sensitive Information
- Payment card details are processed by PCI-compliant third-party processors; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- We collect only the sensitive identifiers necessary for underwriting and servicing (for example, date of birth).
- Indus.Care is not a HIPAA-covered entity. Any health-related information you provide is used solely to help with your quote, policy servicing, or claims routing, and not for targeted advertising.
16. Third-Party Websites
Our Website may link to or embed tools from third-party sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. We encourage you to review their privacy notices before using those services.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time due to legal, technical, or business changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where required, provide additional notice (for example, by email or an in-site banner).
Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
